Holiday pay
For the first time, Belgian workers and artists can check how much holiday pay they are entitled to in 2019 via their Doccle account. In total, the government sends almost 4 million of these documents every year to 1.7 million Belgians. Doccle also wants to give its users access to their career data via MyPension and the Student@Work certificate for job students. “It is only logical that in 2019 citizens can manage their administration in one central location,” says Doccle CEO Bram Lerouge.
In 2019, the national office for annual holidays (RJV) will send a total of 3.8 million of these documents to around 1.7 million Belgian workers and artists via the eBox. From this year on, the document will also be available for the first time via Doccle, the largest digital administration platform in Belgium. Citizens who link their eBox – the ‘digital mailbox’ of the government – to their Doccle account, can receive the holiday pay form directly on this platform.
However, it is striking that the potential of the eBox remains largely untapped. So far, only 63,000 of the more than 1.5 million Doccle users have linked their account on this platform to their personal eBox. The fact that much government administration still finds its way to the citizen in paper form is completely obsolete according to Doccle. Sending government documents by post is not only slow, it can never be excluded that a letter does not reach the right person (in time). The collaboration between Doccle and the eBox must ensure that more and more citizens and governments take the step to digital administration.
“We encourage all citizens touse their eBox and link it to their Doccle account,” says Doccle CEO Bram Lerouge. “That you can gain insight into your holiday pay faster than ever in this way is just one of the many benefits. The government will keep increasing the number of documents available via eBox in the future. ”
