Doccle BV commits to making this site accessible, in accordance with the following legislation: Law of 19 July 2018 on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies.
This accessibility statement applies to:
Compliance Status
This website is partially compliant, due to the non-conformities and exemptions listed below.
Preparing This Statement
An internal accessibility audit was conducted. This audit was a thorough analysis.
Disproportionate Burden
Internal audit and analysis by the lead product designer (UX/UI – specialized in accessibility).
Non-accessible Content
Our web app consists of two parts. One part (EUUI) was built using legacy technology from the start of Doccle (11 years ago) and was not accessible (nor required to be). The other part (Next-EUUI) was built using React and modern technologies. This part was designed in line with WCAG accessibility criteria, making the new pages and components accessible. This includes keyboard navigation, responsiveness, scalable font sizes, zoom support, semantic code (headings, buttons, HTML, etc.), and screen reader optimization.
Due to the combination of these two technologies on a single page, accessibility issues arise for users with disabilities. As a result, the homepage and archive – including document detail – are not accessible to people using screen readers or navigating exclusively via keyboard.
The connections page, payment flows, settings, navigation, and data vault are already compliant and accessible to our users.
Proposed Alternatives
Our user-friendly app offers all functionalities in an accessible manner in Dutch, French, German, and English. It complies with WCAG guidelines and is optimized for screen readers, dynamic (large) type, and respects animation preferences.

Improvement Plan
Due to the very high cost and workload involved in migrating all pages and functionalities to the new technology, implementation has been partial. If everything goes as planned, the homepage will be fully modernized and accessible by the end of September 2025. We will then ensure our text contrast meets WCAG Level AA standards and improve the clickability of interactive elements by enforcing a minimum size of 48 by 48 pixels. Finally, we will focus on the archive and other outdated pages. Our goal is a complete transition to an accessible web app in 2026.
Due to the limited availability of accessibility specialists, the required changes may take several more months. We are doing everything possible to improve this gradually. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to users with disabilities.
